Coming from a family of commercial artists, graphic designers and art teachers, I have been exposed to all the different art mediums. Working in the accounting field for engineers and architects, as well as working for Joseph's Jewelry in Des Moines, I have spent my career being around creative people. And now beginning a new venture in jewelry, I have turned my love for creativity and beauty into jewelry design and metalwork.  Using "freshwater" pearls in my earlier jewelry designs, under the name of "Freshwater Designs LLC", I feel I have now come full circle, living on the largest "freshwater" lake in Iowa, Spirit Lake! I love my new job!

My creations are handmade, original and made with love. They do not have a manufactured look, and that is what makes them truly "one of a kind."
