I began my art career as a high school student at Clay
Central/Everly. It was during that time
that I developed a love for creating art. My high school pieces received awards at several regional art
shows. I am currently studying Art
History at Lake Forest College, a suburban Chicago school. My works Rainy
Day, Bottles, Acorns, and Anatomy were chosen to appear in a show entitled “Distinct Visual Languages.” I have also participated in symposium
exhibits through my college.
After
completing school, I aspire to have a career in the art world. I have worked with regional Chicago galleries
and will be studying abroad in Florence during the spring to further my art
knowledge and experience.
My
preferred mediums are oil paints and charcoal, but I enjoy experimenting with
other mediums as well. I am drawn to
color and light, and tend to highlight those elements in my works.
